Team Channels

There are three kinds of Channel that can be created in a Team:

• Standard
  • These Channels are automatically accessible to all Team Members
• Private
  • These Channels are only accessible to specified Members.
  • Only Members of the parent Team can be added as Members to a Private Channel.
• Shared
  • These Channels are only accessible to specified Members.
  • Nearly anyone can be added as a Member of a Shared Channel: A Member of the parent Team, another UNBC account that isn't a Member of the parent Team, even non-UNBC accounts (as long as they are a member of an external M365 tenant that has B2B Direct Connect enabled).

A Team can have up to 1000 Standard and Shared Channels, and up to 30 Private Channels.
