Set Status Alerts in Microsoft Teams

You can set status messages to inform others about information that you want them to see in Teams.

Note: If you set a status in teams, it will not show your automatic out of office replicate that you have set in outlook

 

To set a status message in teams

1) Go to your profile picture at the top right corner of teams and selet "Set Status Message" to view your options

2) Type the message that you want others to see in the box.

a) you can use @mention if you want to have your status shown if people @mention you in conversations select the Show when people message me check box

3) Choose when you want to stop displaying the message

4) Select Done and you're finished
