UNBC ITS maintains a Research Data Storage Cluster.
The storage cluster is designed for the following data set characteristics
- Large volumes of data, typically 1TB or more;
- Moderate performance requirements;
- moderate growth rates;
- LiDAR or Genomic data;
- data residency requirements;
This cluster is available to Faculty, and those under faculty supervision whose data sets meet one or more of the characteristics outlined above.
To get access to this cluster, please email support@unbc.ca with the following information
- Initial Quota Request, for example 2TB
- Expected Growth Rate, for example 50GB/month
- Retention Period, for example, keep for 5 years.
ITS will work with you and the office of research to find a solution that meets your needs.
