Zoom bombing and other interrupts are a common occurrence with public meetings.
Before you set up your meeting, select someone to act as doorkeeper, who can add people from the waiting room after the meeting starts to lessen interruptions and distractions.
Adding alternative hosts will also allow trusted others to start the meeting if you are unable to start it on time.
The Waiting Room feature allows the host to control when a participant joins the meeting. As the meeting host, you can admit attendees one by one, or hold all attendees in the Waiting Room and admit them all at once. In the event you chose not to use a waiting room, locking the meeting will prevent anyone else from joining.
Once the meeting has started, the security tab will offer further settings to allow you to secure your meeting.
If your meeting does not require audience participation, you can limit what guests can do, to reduce the chance that a guest will bomb your meeting with inappropriate backgrounds, links, or discussion in chat.
In the event of a disruptor, suspending all participant activities will prevent them from disrupting the meeting further until you can remove them.
The advanced options under Share Screen will allow you to set who can share their screen.
Once you have your meeting secured, have participants send an RSVP to get an invite to the meeting instead of putting a link on social media. This reduces the likelihood of disruption in your meeting.
